Last week, we mentioned that we learn music at The Learning Tree as well as maths and language. In general we follow the Kodaly method of teaching music which is explained below. (We are also currently practising some Christmas songs to perform to parents!).

At The Learning Tree, we follow in Maria Montessori’s footsteps. We do not believe in using rewards to motivate the children or punishments. Instead we treat the children as the individuals they are and work with them to help them feel good about what they achieve.

The 23rd September until 23rd October is Seed Gathering Season, the autumn campaign to inspire everyone to gather seeds, fruits and nuts and grow the trees of the future. Here at The Learning Tree, we love sowing seeds of curiosity and knowledge and watching the children grow!
